To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Ohio Open Records Law, I hereby request the following records:

1) Data from Jan. 1, 2020 until the present showing the number of academic dishonesty cases reported to and adjudicated by the university. Where available, this data should include:
- The date the case was initiated
- The date the case was resolved
- The school/program/class (e.g. computer science, School of Engineering, writing 101, etc.)
- The type of allegation (e.g. selling test answers, plagiarism, using generative AI, etc.)
- The specific university policy violated
- How the allegation was reported (e.g. by staff, by anti-cheating technology, etc.)
- Whether the allegation was substantiated
- Whether the allegation was appealed
- The result of any appeal
- The sanction imposed on the offender (e.g. suspension, probation, expulsion, etc.)
- Any other data fields collected by the university regarding cheating/academic integrity cases (with the exception of fields that contain personally identifying information).

2) If available, a data dictionary for the university's academic integrity database. A data dictionary is a document that describes and defines the different fields within a database.

I ask that all fees be waived as I am a journalist and intend to used the requested records to publish articles in the public interest and not for any commercial purpose.

If you choose to impose fees, I request a detailed breakdown of the fees, including the hourly wage of each employee involved and an explanation of the employee hours required to fulfill the request.

If you choose to reject this request or redact portions of responsive documents, I ask that you provide a detailed breakdown of the statutory exemptions and associated case law underlying your decision to withhold each/any portions from public review.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
