Pursuant to the Florida Sunshine Law, I hereby request the following records:
Compensation data for all employees of the Orange County, FL Sheriff's Office for the most recent year in which complete data are available (preferably 2020).
Specifically, I request that these data include, for each employee: Name, Job Title, Earnings (required), and age, gender, ethnicity, and hire date (if available).
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days.

Thanks to Governor Whitmer vetoing HB 4448, agencies are no longer able to extend public records requests made through the Michigan Freedom of Information Act. It’s a big step back toward normalcy in government transparency.

A few weeks ago, city council approved plans to start outfitting police officers with body cameras by January 1, 2022. The council hopes this will improve trust and transparency in the community.
