To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Oregon Public Records Law, I hereby request the following documents:
- All correspondence to employees of the Office of the Governor from the Executive Office of the President regarding Oregon's marijuana policy. This covers emails from email addresses from the domain "@who.eop.gov"
- All correspondence to employees of the Office of the Governor from the Department of Justice regarding Oregon's marijuana policy. This covers emails from email addresses from the domain "@usdoj.gov" and "@justice.gov"
I hereby request such correspondence from 1/20/17 to the present. Search terms include “marijuana,” “cannabis,” and “pot.”
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes. International Business Times is an award-winning journalism organization and this is a newsworthy topic of public concern.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I would request your response within ten (10) business days.
Sincerely,
David Sirota
