Oh. Okay.
Thank you for clarifying.
I'd like to ammend my request with the following:
Pursuant to the Colorado Open Records Act (CORA), I am requesting access to and a copy of the logs of all CORA requests submitted to your agency over the past 180 days. This request includes, but is not limited to, the dates of requests, the nature of the requests, the responses provided, and any associated correspondence.

Additionally, if you need any further information or clarification to locate these records, please let me know at your earliest convenience.
Thank you for your assistance and prompt attention to this matter.
From: Pagosa Springs Police Department
Hi Samuel. Will you please clarify what you are seeking in terms of "responses provided?" In other words, are you seeking the Town's written responses to CORA requests received over the past 180 days or are you also seeking the underlying records? Additionally, I'd like to confirm that you want logs of all CORA requests received over the past 180, unlimited by subject, requester, etc.?
From: Samuel Newton
Written responses.
The underlying records need not be included.
All available logs.
From: Pagosa Springs Police Department

That's perfect thank you.
Could I also get the 2020,2021,2022 and 2023 logs?
From: Pagosa Springs Police Department
Good morning,
Pagosa Springs Police Department retains the CORA request for two (2) years
according to the Colorado Municipal Retention Schedule 100.080(Q). In the
year of 2022 and 2023, a log was not generated. The CORA request forms
completed by victims will need to be redacted with any other non
releasable information and a redaction fee of $33.58 per hour, not
including the first hour, will be charged. If you are requesting only the
police department's response to the cora request, I can send these to you
without a fee. Can you please clarify what information you are seeking?
1) Requestor's information?
2) Police response (granted or denied)?
Thank you for your patience,
Janette

Could I begin with the Police responses?
What would the redaction process entail?
Would it be batch processed and reviewed or individually redacted?
Do you have any idea how much there is and how long it will take?
Could I receive two hours worth of work? I'd like to request that now if the records are expiring.
Thank for you help.
From: Pagosa Springs Police Department
Hi Samuel,
I have attached copies for the records requested for the years 2022 and
2023 at no cost. If you are requesting further information please let me
know.

From: Samuel Newton
Do you have a complaint or correspondence from the Attorney General? How often have you received complaints? Could I see them?
Has your office ever received a Writ of Mandus in regards to a FOI, CORA, CJRA request? Could I see those as well?
I am still processing my requests with the other offices to be able to clarify the search of the Jimmy files.

From: Pagosa Springs Police Department
Good Morning Samuel,
The Pagosa Springs Police Department does not have any documents related to any court actions related to Jimmy Jones, nor has it received related correspondence from the Attorney General's Office or complaints.
Will you please clarify your question/specify a timeline regarding Writs of Mandamus? Whether the Department has "ever" received these documents is an overly broad request.
In general and to the extent possible, please compile any additional questions into one request with sufficient specificity and time ranges. While the Department wants to effectively respond to your request, it must keep in mind the limited resources/staffing it has to do so.
From: Samuel Newton
I'd like to search the past 180 days and if nothing comes up search the past 360 days.
Thank you for you assistance.
From: Pagosa Springs Police Department
Hi Samuel,
The Town has not received any Writs of Mandamus in regard to any FOI, CORA, CJRA request in the past 360 days.
From: Samuel Newton
I am writing to clarify a terminology used in a recent communication regarding my Colorado Open Records Act (CORA) request.
It has come to my attention that in my previous correspondence, the term "Writ of Mandus" was used in error. The correct legal term is "Writ of Mandamus." A Writ of Mandamus is a judicial remedy in the form of an order from a court to any government subordinate court, corporation, or public authority to do some specific act which that body is obliged under law to do.
Please accept this correction and proceed with processing my original request, as submitted, under the corrected terminology.
I would appreciate a confirmation that this request will be processed without further delay and according to the corrected legal term. Should there be any questions or need for further clarification, please feel free to contact me.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
From: Samuel Newton
As far back as March 2020?
Have you received any matching documents?
From: Pagosa Springs Police Department
Hi Samuel,
As noted in the August 7th response, we have processed your request using the term "Writs of Mandamus." Additionally, the Pagosa Springs Police Department has not received any Writs of Mandamus or matching documents, to include court documents related to open records violations.
From: Samuel Newton
I am writing to request access to all correspondence generated from or in relation to my prior records requests submitted to your office. This includes internal communications, responses, and any other related documentation.
Additionally, I kindly request a brief description of the search conducted to locate these records, including the departments or databases searched.
Please confirm receipt of this request and provide an estimated time frame for fulfilling it. Should there be any associated fees, please inform me in advance.
From: Pagosa Springs Police Department
Hi Samuel,
Please find attached emails concerning correspondence generated from your
records request. Records are searched through IDNetworks records
management system using the information provided from your request.
Thank you,
Janette
