In response to your request please see below: all incident reports, weapon discharge reports, or use-of-force reports filed by officers or agents involved in the Sep. 3, 2020 shooting of Michael Forest Reinoehl in Lacey, Washington. RESPONSE: This matter was investigated by Thurston County.  We do not have any incident reports.  There is a CAD but you would need to request that through South Sound 911 at southsound911.org.  For your ease and convenience the CAD event number is 2024701413. At this time, there are no weapon discharge reports or use-of-force reports filed.  Reports, such as you request here, if any, will be filed following the Thurston County Prosecutor’s decision regarding charges. Any body camera footage or still photographs taken by officers or agents related to the Sep. 3, 2020, shooting og Michael Forest Reinoehl in Lacey, Washington. RESPONSE:  Pierce County Sheriff does not have body cameras at this time.  Additionally, photographs, if any, have been turned over to Thurston County as part of their investigation. Any summaries or reports of the findings of the internal investigation into the shooting of Reinoehl, including interview transcripts. RESPONSE:  I have checked with internal affairs and, at this time, there are no summaries or reports of findings of an internal investigation.  Additionally, there are no interview transcripts, at this time, for reasons as outlined hereinabove in response at #1. I have asked internal affairs to conduct a search in BlueTeam and there are no records, at this time.  Prior to BlueTeam completion, an outcome from the internal review process (Board of Professional Standards) will need to occur and this is not done until findings come back from the prosecutor's office. You did not ask for emails in this request therefore an email search was not conducted.  Feel free to submit another request if you would like me to conduct an email search.  In that request you will need to provide specific search terms and a start and end date. I understand Thurston County Sheriff’s Department has finalized their investigation; however, I am not privy to any information regarding Thurston County Prosecutor’s timeframe related to their charging decision(s) which is why I cannot provide you with an approximate date when there will be records responsive to a subsequent request asking for the same records.  However, like I said before, if you would like me to conduct an email search please feel free to submit another request with keywords for the search and a start and stop date.
