Request for Body Cam Footage of Incident Involving Carla Jefferson (St. Petersburg Police Department)

Pursuant to the Florida Sunshine Law, I hereby request the following records:

I am writing to formally request access to the bodycam footage under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) related to the arrest of Carla Jefferson for repeated misuse of the 911 system.

Incident Details for Footage Retrieval:

Location: St. Petersburg, Florida
Suspect: Carla Jefferson, 51
Incident Summary: Jefferson was arrested after making over 12,512 phone calls to the St. Petersburg Police Department and Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, accounting for approximately 10% of all incoming calls. Her calls were described as vulgar, threatening, and obscene, often holding up emergency lines. After receiving a notice of prosecution, Jefferson called the precinct demanding to be arrested but later refused to answer the door when officers arrived. She was charged with three misdemeanors related to misuse of the 911 system and harassing phone calls.
I am requesting copies of all body-worn camera footage from officers who responded to Jefferson’s arrest, including footage of any interactions at her residence.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
