To Whom it may Concern:

I am in receipt of your public records request for all incident occurring at a library since January 1, 2020. Please be advised that this request will require extensive use of information technology resources and extensive use of clerical, supervisory assistance or both. Therefore, pursuant to sec 119.07(4)(d), Florida Statutes the agency requires that you provide a deposit in the amount of $887.20 before further work is done of this request.

The only way to ensure all responsive records are located for your request is through a manual review. All of the requested records will need to located, pulled, reviewed, redacted, and copied to ensure compliance with Florida Statute Chapter 119. We estimate this process to take at least forty (40) hours to complete, though we suspect it will take longer. This will be completed at the clerical rate of $22.18 per hour. This labor charge represents the above referenced deposit amount.

If for some reason it takes us less time to complete this request than anticipated, then we will refund you the un-used portion of your deposit. If it appears like it will take us substantially more time than anticipated then we may request another deposit. Please pay by check or money order made payable to the Polk County Sheriff's Office. Please make reference to your request with your payment and send it to my attention. If we do not hear from you within 30 days we will consider your request withdrawn. We will begin preparing the documents as soon as we receive your deposit. Once the documents are ready we will contact you.
