Pursuant to the Washington Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
Personnel files for all law enforcement officers employed by Port Orchard Police Department from January 2015 through current date, October 9, 2019.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

In regards to your below request for "Personnel files", our City Clerk's office will take the lead on this request in cooperation with our finance department, since the records you are requesting would be housed in their office. Therefore, you should expect to receive any responsive records from our City Clerk's office directly.

Hello Ms. Allen,
As you may know, we now have an online Public Records Center to help with easy accessibility in asking and receiving records not related to Police or Municipal Court records.
I see you already have an account set up in our Public Records Center and you should have received an email from our Portal, adding the below request into the system.
You will be provided a response by October 16, 2019; as to when the City will be able to provide you the records requested. In the meantime, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Good afternoon Penny,
I would like to offer my sincerest apologies for your experience today when you came in to make a payment on your public records request. City Clerk Rinearson, who you have been corresponding with, is out of the office today in a meeting.
It is my understanding you let staff know that you wanted to pay $100 of your records request, and staff was unsure where to code the payment to. They asked other staff members for assistance, and by this time, several minutes had passed. You then indicated you would be mailing a check instead.
I confirmed with our Finance department that the issue of coding is now resolved and they are ready to accept the payment anytime Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. You are also always welcome to make payment with a credit card via telephone. There is a 3% charge to use your credit card. As soon as payment is received, either by check, cash or credit card, Brandy will upload the documents into the Records Center Portal.
Again, I am deeply sorry and please accept our apologies for your experience. We appreciate you taking the time to come in to make a payment and should you come back to City Hall, I hope your experience is a pleasant and courteous one.
