Pursuant to the Maine Freedom of Access Act, I hereby request the following records:
- All records of police visits which have formed the basis for designating a building as a disorderly house as defined in section 6-200 of the city code,
- all written notifications that have been sent to owners of disorderly houses under 6-201,
- all documentation that owners have brought to the mandatory meetings after being given written notifications,
- all written agreements that have been made at the conclusions of the meetings,
- all complaints filed in court against owners who failed to attend meetings or who failed to enter written agreements under 6-201,
- all records of police responses for which owners were required to pay under 6-203(a),
- all records of penalties imposed for failure to pay under 6-203(b),
- all records of legal action filed against owners under 6-202, and
- all records related to condemnation of disorderly houses and notices of condemnation posted to disorderly houses under 6-202 and 6-121 of the city code.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as we believe this request is in the public interest, as suggested but not stipulated by 1 M.R.S.A. § 408(6). The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.

Can you estimate the cost for records from 2008 to the present? Will you be waiving fees? How long have records generally been kept electronically already?
I'd like to also amend the request to include a copy of the city code as it was on 5-21-81, and records of the original enactment of the disorderly houses ordinance.

Please see attached for what we have that is responsive. Compiling all the
police reports associated with these disorderly house notices and court
cases would take a minimum of 20 hours and consist of over 500 pages.
The files are attached in a .zip file. This was two hours of time.
