Hello,

Thank you for the update. According to NRS 239.0107(1)(d)(2), if you are denying access to records, you must provide in writing "A citation to the specific statute or other legal authority that makes the public book or record, or a part thereof, confidential." You have not done so. You have only stated: "The Reno Police Department cannot provide the requested documents." Could you please state why you're denying this release, as required under Nevada law?

Furthermore, if the Reno Police Department indeed does not have the records available, could you please clarify your direction to submit a request to the City? Is this not already the City of Reno Records department?

Thank you for your assistance. Much obliged,
Colin Gerber
