Pursuant to the Nevada Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

Public reports show that the robotic delivery company Starship is operating at your university: https://www.starship.xyz/starship-food-delivery-app/

Therefore, I hereby request the following records:

1) All presentations and presentation materials (including recorded video and audio, PowerPoint files, prepared remarks, and slides formats), and other information presented to the UNR Dining Marketing Coordinator Heidi Rich/University Police Department about Starship/Starship robots.

2) Any agreements/contracts between University of Nevada, Reno and other members of the University about or mentioning Starship delivery robots, including attachments and media.

3) Any complaints or incident reports received about Starship through UNR PD

4) Any video footage or audio given to the university or university police department by Starship

Please search between August 1, 2021 and the time this request is processed.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Hello Jodi,

I appreciate you sending over this document, but I do not find the document fully responsive to my request. It partially fulfills item #3 on the list, however, items #1, #2, and #4 remain unanswered/denied. If I cannot obtain these contracts, footage, or complaints through your organization please let me know, as per NRS 239.0107(1). If this is the case, I would also appreciate direction to the correct agency.

Otherwise, I believe the NPRA law requires agencies to provide reasoning for the denial of public records (NRS 239.0107(d)).

I recognize fulfilling the totality of my original request would result in the search for a large number of documents, so if it helps, the purpose of my request is to understand the relationship between UNR and Starship through their contracts and agreements, as well as marketing plans. I also want to understand the relationship between UNR students and Starship through incident reports and video footage. If you find that you do have the records that I am looking for, and need more time to gather them, please provide me with a date that they will be ready by.
