To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Rhode Island Access to Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

- A copy of any and all contracts (including associated amendments and exhibits) awarded to Pepsi, Coca-Cola, or any subdivision thereof, for the provision of beverages or other goods in any facilities under the purview of this organization, including all activities and buildings associated with athletics, sports, dining services, or otherwise. If this agency does not have a contract with either of the named companies, please provide the equivalent agreement with the currently employed company.

- If the contract(s) was cancelled, any and all materials related to its cancellation.

- If the contract was cancelled, the statement from the university about cancellation.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Dear Ms. Komatsoulis:

This will serve as a follow-up to my October 16, 2018 email response to
your request for public records made pursuant to the RI Access to Public
Records Act ("APRA") addressed to URI Purchasing. Specifically, you
requested the following:

- A copy of any and all contracrs (including associated amendments and
exhibits) awarded to Pepsi, Coca-Cola, or any subdivision thereof, for the
provision of beverages or other goods in any facilities under the purview
of this organization, including all activities and buildings associated
with athletics, sports, dining services, or otherwise. If this agency
does not have a contact with either of the named companies, please provide
the equivalent agreement with the currently employed company.

-If the contract(s) was cancelled, any and all materials related to its
cancellation.

- If the contact was cancelled, the statement from the university about
the cancellation.

I have attached a copy of the current agreement between the University of
Rhode Island and Coca-Cola dated July 23, 2013 including all amendments,
extensions and exhibits responsive to your request for public records. As
noted in my October 16 email, Coca-Cola informed us that all financial
information contained in the contract is exempt from disclosure under APRA
as "trade secrets and commercial or financial information obtained from a
person, firm, or corporation that is of a privileged or confidential
nature." See: RIBL 38-2-2(4)(B) After review by this office we have
concluded that we are not able to question Coca-Cola's judgment and have
therefore redacted all financial information from the attached copy of the
contract.

If you disagree with the determination made by this office you may
petition the University President for reconsideration or review. In the
alternative you may file a complaint with the Rhode Island attorney
general or seek relief in the superior court of the county where the
records are maintained pursuant to RI Gen Law Sec 38-2-8. The address of
