To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Rhode Island Access to Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

Documentation detailing the cost of elections by polling location or polling center, dated between 2019 and the present.

Ultimately, my goal is to understand how much money is saved or spent altering the number of polling locations. If there is a better way to request this information, I'm all ears.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

The RI Board of Elections has no documentation responsive to your request.
If you believe you have been denied access to public records from the Rhode Island State Board of Elections, you have a right to file a review petition with Robert Rapoza, the Executive Director of the Rhode Island Board of Elections, 2000 Plainfield Pike, Cranston, RI 02921.
If you are still not satisfied, you may file an appeal with the Attorney General or initiate proceedings in Superior Court.
