Pursuant to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
-Any contracts/memorandums of understanding between the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Virginia and Virginia Department of Corrections related to restoring formerly incarcerated people's voting rights
-Any informational/educational materials used by the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Virginia's office to educate formerly incarcerated people about their voting rights
-Any documents outlining the process of the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Virginia's office to restore formerly incarcerated people's voting rights
-A copy of a "restoration of rights" letter
Please provide materials on a rolling basis, as they become available.
If you have any questions, please feel free to clarify via phone at 610-637-7745.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 5 business days, as the statute requires.
