Pursuant to the Mississippi Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
Any records held by the Mayor of Ridgeland concerning books at the Madison County Library System or Ridgeland Library. This request includes, but is not limited to, emails, text messages, social media messages, memoranda, or other documents referencing any of the following terms:
1. Library
2. Homosexual
3. Gay
4. LGBTQ
5. Queer
6. Camper
7. Tonja
8. Johnson
This request is limited to records generated on or after December 1, 2021.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 7 business days, as the statute requires.

I've not received a response to this public records request, which was first issued on January 27, 2022. Under Mississippi law, the City of Ridgeland was required to respond to that request within seven working days. § 25-61-5(1)(a).
Please apprise me by the close of business on Wednesday, February 23, as to when I can expect to receive the requested records.
