Precinct boundaries in effect for the 2024 primary and general elections (Russell County Board Of Registrars)

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Alabama Open Records Law, I hereby request the following records:

1) a map of the precinct boundaries in effect for the 2024 primary and general elections, in geospatial format (shapefiles, geoJSON, etc.) Here is an example of what we are looking for from Elmore County, AL: https://www.arcgis.com/apps/mapviewer/index.html?webmap=07e6542a0cec475fb0ff61690c2d9787.

If a map for the 2024 elections is not available, we request 2) the most recent map of precinct boundaries that exists.

If a geospatial version is not available (for example, it is a physical map on the wall), we request 3) a high-resolution PDF or photo(s) that provide enough detail of the map to identify the exact precinct boundaries and recreate them in a geospatial format. Here is an example of what we are looking for from Etowah County, AL: https://etowahcounty.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/01/EtowahPrecincts-2023.pdf

If no map exists at all, we request 4) a copy of whatever is used to designate areas, and the voters living therein, to precincts (for example, metes and bounds of the exact boundaries, a street address file, etc.).

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
