Information on all hate crimes occuring in the city of jurisdiction from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2020. The information should include (although not be restricted to) the following: date-of-occurrence (YYYY-MM-DD), time-of-occurrence (HH:MM), description of crime committed, location information at the finest geographic level available (street address or block), beat, district, weapon used, bias motivation (e.g., Anti-Black/Anti-Gay/Anti-Transgender), number of suspect(s), number of victim(s), injuries incurred, suspect(s) race, victim(s) race, victim(s) sex, suspect(s) sex,, victim(s) age, suspect(s) age.

Please provide me with these public records in a machine-readable ASCII format, such as a CSV, SQL, TXT, or similar raw file. CSV or SQL files are preferred when available. Please email the responsive records to my email address: michaeltopper@ucsb.edu.

If email transmission is not feasible, I agree to prepay the actual cost of the storage medium on which the responsive records are transmitted, any postage costs incurred.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

Information on all hate crimes occurring in the city of jurisdiction from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2020. The information should include (although not be restricted to) the following: date-of-occurrence (YYYY-MM-DD), time-of-occurrence (HH:MM), description of crime committed, location information at the finest geographic level available (street address or block), beat, district, weapon used, bias motivation (e.g., Anti-Black/Anti-Gay/Anti-Transgender), number of suspect(s), number of victim(s), injuries incurred, suspect(s) race, victim(s) race, victim(s) sex, suspect(s) sex,, victim(s) age, suspect(s) age.. The Sacramento Police Department does not have a central repository that tracks the information being requested from the time period of January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2017. We would have to hand search records and under the CPRA we are not required to do so (Cal. Gov. Code § 6252 (e).)
