Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
Email correspondence (including file attachments, such as PDFs, images, etc.) from January 1st, 2022 to January 1st, 2024, to and from Catheryn Yashar, Professor of Radiation Medicine and Applied Science (cyashar@ucsd.edu) regarding the Radiation Oncology Case Rate (ROCR) model and the the Radiation Oncology Alternative Payment Model (RO-APM or APM).
Correspondence would include members of the 501(c)(6) organization The American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) and/or the Society of Chairs of Academic Radiation Oncology Programs (SCAROP) and/or the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and/or the American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO). It would also include members of the consulting groups “Wakely” and/or “HMA Consulting” and/or “GenesisCare”.
Both the ROCR and RO-APM models affect how the entire medical specialty of Radiation Oncology is reimbursed nationwide, and have tremendous impact with significant relevance to the public.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
