Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

1. Any and all records, including but not limited to reports, investigations, referrals, communications, case files, and evidence, relating to National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline reports about Guy "Dr Disrespect" Beahm received or investigated by the San Diego County Sheriff's Department from January 1, 2019 to the present.

2. Any and all records of communications, including emails, letters, and memos, between the San Diego Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and the San Diego County Sheriff's Department regarding NCMEC CyberTipline reports or investigations relating to Guy "Dr Disrespect" Beahm from January 1, 2019 to the present.

3. Any and all records of communications, including emails, letters, and memos, between Twitch Interactive, Inc. and the San Diego County Sheriff's Department or the San Diego ICAC Task Force regarding Guy "Dr Disrespect" Beahm from January 1, 2019 to the present.

If any responsive records contain exempt information, I request that you redact the exempt material and release the remainder of the records, as required by Government Code Section 6253(a).

If any of the above requests are determined to require an unreasonable amount of time to produce, please provide me with the records that can be reasonably produced within the 10-day statutory deadline and the estimated date when the remainder of the records will be available.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to follow up on my public records request (Reference # S002334-063024) submitted on June 30, 2024, regarding records related to Guy "Dr Disrespect" Beahm.

In your last correspondence dated July 11, 2024, you informed me that the response deadline was extended by 14 days due to the need to search for and collect the requested records from separate facilities. You indicated that I would receive a response no later than July 25, 2024.

As of today's date, July 26,2024, I have not yet received any further communication or the requested records. Given that the extended deadline has now passed, I kindly request an update on the status of my request.

Could you please provide me with the following information:

1. The current status of my request
2. An estimated timeframe for when I can expect to receive the requested records
3. Any issues or complications that may have arisen in fulfilling this request

On July 27, 2024, the San Diego County Sheriff's Office received your message regarding the status of your request. On July 25, 2024, an additional 14-day extension was sent, and on July 26, 2024 the San Diego County Sheriff's Office provided the following response to your request:

Any and all records, including but not limited to reports, investigations, referrals, communications, case files, and evidence, relating to National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline reports about Guy "Dr Disrespect" Beahm received or investigated by the San Diego County Sheriff's Department from January 1, 2019 to the present.

2. Any and all records of communications, including emails, letters, and memos, between the San Diego Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and the San Diego County Sheriff's Department regarding NCMEC CyberTipline reports or investigations relating to Guy "Dr Disrespect" Beahm from January 1, 2019 to the present.

3. Any and all records of communications, including emails, letters, and memos, between Twitch Interactive, Inc. and the San Diego County Sheriff's Department or the San Diego ICAC Task Force regarding Guy "Dr Disrespect" Beahm from January 1, 2019 to the present.

In response to your request for any and all records, including but not limited to reports, investigations, referrals, communications, case files, and evidence, your request is denied pursuant to Government Code section 7927.705, incorporating Penal Code section 13300 et seq. Your request seeks information derived from summary criminal history. California law prohibits the release of an individual's local summary criminal history, and any information derived therefrom. The release and receipt of such information, except as allowed by statute, is punishable as a misdemeanor. Additionally, records of a law enforcement investigation, or any investigatory or security files compiled by a law enforcement agency are exempt from disclosure. Cal. Gov't. Code § 7923.600; Haynie v. Superior Court, 26 Cal. 4th 1061, 1071-72 (2001).

Pursuant to Government Code section 7923.610, records and information are limited to current information and records pertaining to contemporaneous police activity. County of Los Angeles v. Superior Court (Kusar) (1993) 18 Cal.App.4th 588, 601; 89 Ops.Cal.Atty.Gen. 204 (2006). The Sheriff's Office defines contemporaneous as 30 days prior to the date of the request. A search of our files revealed NO responsive records pertaining to Herschel "Guy" Beahm within the 30 days prior to your request.

In response to your request for any and all records of communications, including emails, letters, and memos, between the San Diego Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, and your request for any and all records of communications, including emails, letters, and memos, between Twitch Interactive, Inc. and the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, the San Diego County Sheriff's Office conducted a focused search using Guy "Dr Disrespect" Beahm as a key term(s) and found no records responsive to your request. The San Diego County Sheriff's Office only maintains emails sent to or from a Sheriff's Office email account. The San Diego County Sheriff's Office maintains a 365-day retention on emails.

The search for responsive emails did not include communications to or from the Legal Affairs Unit as attorney-client privilege and attorney-work product emails are exempt pursuant to GC 7927.705.
