To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the California Public Records Act & San Francisco Sunshine Ordinance, I hereby request the following records:

For each department in the city, please provide a full list of any vacancies submitted by DHR class number, the date of submission, and the date of mayoral approval for all vacancies submitted from February 1, 2020 to May 12,2021. Please provide this data segregated by department. If you have any questions, please let me know within 24 hours of receiving this request.

If my request is denied in whole or in part, I ask that you justify all deletions by reference to specific exemptions of the law. I will also expect you to release all segregable portions of otherwise exempt material. I reserve the right to appeal your decision to withhold any information or deny a waiver of fees.

Though this request is not burdensome, I request that all records be made available on a rolling basis, rather than all at once when matching records are available.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or USB drive if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter.

I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 24 hours & fulfillment within no more than 10 calendar days.

Hi,
Thank you for providing responsive records!

Based on the title of the document & the note, it seems like the responsive records are missing vacancies that have been submitted but were rejected or still have not been filled.

Could you clarify if this is the case, and if so, provide the full records that include vacancies submitted by DHR class number including those that were rejected or not yet filled?

Hello Requestor,

The previous file that was sent out had only vacancies that were submitted within the request timeframe that had been approved. The attached file has position vacancies that have been submitted but still do not have approval. There is no distinction between a position that is awaiting approval and a position that may have been denied approval within our system.

Please note that position requests are often resubmitted and the attached file involved some 'stitching' together of data from our system. That being said, some of the positions may no longer be included in a department's current budget or may have been otherwise changed since the request period.
