Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
(1) A list of all individuals processed who did not have a permanent address at the time of death (homeless individuals)
(2) Autopsy records and coroner's notes of previously stated individuals
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

I wanted to follow up on the following California Public Records Act request, copied below, and originally submitted on Nov. 19, 2019. Please let me know when I can expect to receive a response.

Dear Mr. L'Etoile:
This email confirms receipt of your public records request sent via email and dated November 19, 2019, wherein you requested:
(1) A list of all individuals processed who did not have a permanent address at the time of death (homeless individuals)
(2) Autopsy records and coroner's notes of previously stated individuals
Without a date range to limit your request, the request for records is unreasonably broad. A search for all autopsy records on homeless individuals will be time-consuming and unnecessarily involve use of scarce public resources. Therefore, we are requesting that you more narrowly tailor your request.
If your request is for the full autopsy report of each identified individual, there will be an associated cost per record. Upon identification of the particular records sought, we can inform you of the duplication costs to receive the specific medical examiner reports. The fee for each report is $45.
