Pursuant to the Georgia Open Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
I am requesting access to and copies of the following records related to the high-speed pursuit and arrest of Jose Ramirez-Rodas on February 28, 2025, which ended on GA-400 near I-285 in Sandy Springs:
All body-worn camera footage from Sandy Springs Police Department officers involved in the traffic stop, vehicle pursuit, PIT maneuver, and arrest.
All patrol vehicle dash camera footage capturing the pursuit and traffic interactions on GA-400 and I-285.
Any available aerial surveillance footage (e.g., drone or helicopter) of the incident, if used by SSPD or any supporting agency.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

I understand that the body-worn camera (BWC) footage related to the February 28, 2025 high-speed pursuit and arrest of Jose Ramirez-Rodas is currently exempt from release under O.C.G.A. § 50-18-72(a)(4) due to an open investigation or pending prosecution.
I respectfully request the following:
1. **Once the case has concluded** and the exemption no longer applies, please release the BWC footage to me directly, if permissible.
2. If direct release is not possible at that time, please provide a notification that the case has closed and that the BWC footage has become eligible for release.
3. If available, please include the **case number** and the **prosecuting agency assigned** to the case, to assist in tracking its resolution.
This request is made for non-commercial purposes and in the public interest, for the purposes of transparency and law enforcement accountability. Please treat this as a standing request for release or notification upon closure of the exemption period.
