Communications regarding appeal of your denial of request for public records filed June 12, 2013 by Phil Mocek for "portraits of sworn officers, most recent available." Your identifier for that request is P2013-1888. You denied access to those records in an e-mail, dated July 22, 2013, signed only "Chief of Police." Requester appealed the same day via e-mail.

We do not have a record or the ability to readily create a record that contains the information you are seeking. The Public Record Act does not require us to perform research projects or develop data for information requests. RCW 42.56.080.
In an effort to locate responsive records for your request we ran the following email searches:

Next, I requested that the original Public Disclosure Officer (PDO) check their files to see if they had any communications retained from the appeal. Per the PDO, they did not have any records. Any records they had would have been printed off and kept with the physical file.
Finally, I searched the Legal Unit's electronic files to see if they kept any communications from the PDR appeal, I did not locate any records.
