To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the California Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
Transcripts of all 911 calls from 2015 through 2019 held by the Shasta County Sheriffs's office.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Sovereign Bodies Institute
From: Shasta County Sheriff
Sovereign Bodies Institute,
Our agency does not have transcripts of 911 calls. The call logs we do have include abbreviated comments entered by the dispatchers and deputies which summarize the call, not transcripts of what the caller or anyone else says. In some cases, such as homicides, we retain an audio recording of the 911 call.
I suggest you contact SHASCOM 911 Dispatch, to see if they have any transcripts. If you have any questions, or further requests, please let me know.
Sincerely,
Jenea Ashe
