From: Nick Ingalls

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the California Public Records Act (California Government Code §§ 6250), I hereby request the following records:

A Shapefile or CSV containing at minimum the Address Points (house # and street name) and their corresponding Latitude/Longitude. If additional data such as the Unit Number, City, Zipcode, Parcel Id exists they should be included as well.

If this cannot be accessed, the parcel file including situs address would suffice.

Other names for this include: E911 Address Database, Civic Address File, Parcel Dataset, Land Ownership Dataset, Tax Parcels, Address Points.

I also intent to publish the data via the OpenAddresses Publication platform and would request a waiver of fees for the request.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 calendar days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Nick Ingalls

Thank you for your request. As the Siskiyou County Clerk’s Office does not house this information, I have forwarded your email to the Mike Mallory, the Siskiyou County Assessor-Recorder, for his response.
Thanks,
Colleen

Mr. Ingalls,

In response to your FOIA Request of last Thursday morning, attached is a spreadsheet containing our parcel file with corresponding situs address. The address database is a work in progress where we don’t have addresses for all APNs. Many of the null fields are associated with bare land parcels, however.

There is a GIS shapefile download on the Planning Division’s Website at the following link:
https://www.co.siskiyou.ca.us/content/planning-division-gis-data-download

This should provide the information you desire, well in advance of the 10-day requirement. Acknowledgement of receipt at your earliest convenience would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Mike Mallory
Siskiyou County Assessor-Recorder
