Pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
Basic information on all cases (open and closed) of missing American Indian/Alaska Native persons (including juveniles) within your region, from 2000 through 2021; this basic information can include but is not limited to: person name, age, DOB, incident date, case closure date, county/jurisdiction in which person was reported missing.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 7 business days, as the statute requires.

Your OPRA request has been received and forwarded to the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office as the Records Custodian does not have access to records within the Prosecutor's Office. However, please be advised that the records requested are maintained by the individual municipality in which the person was reported missing. The Somerset County Prosecutor's Office would only have records if the case was elevated for a specific reason. If there are any records within the Prosecutor's Office, your request will be responded to by the Prosecutor's Office directly.
Your Open Public Records request has thus been processed in accordance with N.J.S.A. 47:1A:1, and I am closing the file.

1. Do you keep records of missing cases in your jurisdiction?
2. Do you keep these records based on race/ethnicity, gender, age, and/or other demographic characteristics?
3. If you do not have any records pertaining to missing Native Americans/Alaska Natives, do you have any records of murdered Native America/Alaska Natives in file in your jurisdiction?
