Dear Karl,

Thanks so much for your email. Forgive my confusion, I just wanted to clarify something really quickly?

If there were 960 people on the PH waiting list in 2012, and 272 people moved off the list, how were there only 234 people on the wait list the next year, in 2013? 960-272 people=688 people remaining on the waiting list at the end of 2012, so why is the number at the start of 2013 about 1/3 of that?

Any clarification would be really helpful, thanks so much for your time!

Best,
Ava

Good Morning Ava,

I started in this position in February of 2019 and I am unsure of why that disparity would have occurred. It could boil down to several issues:

* Housing Authorities often purge the system by sending out letters to see if people are still interested in public housing. If no response, they are removed from the wait list
* There may have been an issue with the database system that we have
* People may have been processed but no longer qualified for public housing.

I just have no way of knowing that information. Hope this explanation helps.

Karl
