To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the South Carolina Public Records Law, I hereby request the following records:
1. All sanitation-related complaints filed about Clinton from March 1, 2024 – March 1, 2025.
2. Any inspections, citations, or enforcement actions issued to the City of Clinton for waste management violations in the same period.
3. Any reports or assessments regarding public health or environmental risks caused by uncollected waste or sanitation failures in Clinton.
4. Any communications (emails, memos, meeting notes) between SC DHEC and Clinton officials regarding sanitation concerns or waste management policies.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 15 business days, as the statute requires.

The Freedom of Information staff are currently researching and compiling this information. You will be notified by our office when the research process is complete. DES will make the requested information available for review and copying to the extent it is not protected from disclosure pursuant to section 30-4-30 of the Freedom of Information Act.
If we are unable to locate files on a facility, based on the information submitted, you will be notified by mail.
