Hi Kelly, according to the Beacon Journal, Cybercheck's CEO Adam Mosher testified that his company has a $25,000 contract with the Akron Police Department to assist with 50 cases. CyberCheck is an investigatory tool that triangulates locations based on applications on devices communicating with each other. Two murder cases with CyberCheck evidence resulted in convictions. Since the technology is meant for law enforcement investigations, if the Sheriff's office uses the technology, I believe the responsive records would be at the Sheriff's Office and not with IT.
