Good Morning,
The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office experienced a ransomware attack on August 1st,2024. As a result, we do not have access to the majority our records prior to August 1st.
If you can provide a case number we may be able to locate body worn camera (if applicable). We will not have any CAD data, incident reports, or other information if this occurred prior to our attack unless we previously pulled the case for someone else. Unfortunately, we cannot attempt to locate that data at all without a case number.
We are working diligently towards a solution to this issue, however, cannot provide a date we expect total restoration.
We appreciate your understanding and patience during this difficult and challenging time.
Best Regards,
Vanessa Ramos
