Therefore, I hereby request the following records:
1) All employment and disciplinary records related to, about, or mentioning Brian Covey.
2) Any memos or communications sent to schools, administrators, teachers, parents, students, other government organizations that mention "Brian Covey," Mandarin Middle School, "empty shelves" or "empty bookshelves." Please limit this search to between Jan 26, 2023 and the time this request is processed.
3) Any communications with ESS about Brian Covey between Jan 26, 2023 and the time this request is processed.
4) Any policies, processes, or memos created to instruct schools and employees how to comply with House Bill 1467.
To help limit the extent of the responsive documents, please limit search from Jan 1, 2023 through the time this request is processed. Please deliver these documents on a rolling basis as responsive documents are found. You can treat #5 (emails) as a separate request because I suspect there will be many more responsive documents there.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes. It will be used in the course of reporting for Motherboard, VICE's science and tech site (www.motherboard.vice.com).

Do you have any suggestions as to how I should limit my request? If there are a large number of duplicative documents those can be excluded. If there's a specific search term that resulted in a large number of documents I would consider further limiting my request. However, I have already provided a narrowly-tailored, time-limited request that shouldn't be impossible to execute.
