Pursuant to the Tennessee Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
a log of all formal requests your education department has received under your state public records law from August 1, 2020, to October 31, 2020.
Included in that log of requests, I am seeking all categories/fields included in the log that are publicly releasable under law. They might include such categories as:
-Tracking number of the request
-Date of the request
-Name of the requester
-Organizational affiliation of the requester
-Requester contact information (email preferred)
-Subject matter of the request
-Status of the request (pending, closed, etc.)
-Date the request was completed, closed or perfected
-The result of the request (granted, granted in part, denied, withdrawn, administrative closure, etc.)
-Exemption cited, if any
-Fee category assigned to requester (commercial, educational, news media, other)
-Whether a fee waiver was requested, whether it was granted
-Fees charged to the requester, if any
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 7 business days, as the statute requires.
