Pursuant to the Tennessee Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
For construction projects valued over $1MM (as measured by the contractor's contract value), please provide the final or most recent pay application (typically AIAG702 and AIAG703 forms but not always) submitted within the last 3 years. This request is for all campuses.
I request a waiver of all fees. In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 7 business days, as the statute requires.

The Tennessee Public Records Act allows the University to charge for the labor involved in gathering and producing documents, and to request a prepayment of fifty (50) percent of the estimated labor charge, prior to beginning the process.
The University estimates that gathering the requested documents will take 48 hours of labor at an hourly rate of $30.33.
The Tennessee Public Records Act stipulates that the first hour of labor be provided at no charge. Therefore, the estimated labor cost for this request is 47 hours of labor at $30.33 per hour, for a total of $1,425.51.
In order to proceed, you will need to pay $712.75, which is 50% of the estimated total.
Payment can be made with a check made payable to “The University of Tennessee System.”

Once the University receives payment, the process of gathering the records will begin.
