To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Tennessee Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:

All files including the final investigative report of the explosion that occurred on December 25, 2020, at approximately 6:30 a.m. Central Time, in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. This includes the work of the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit, based in Quantico, Virginia, known to have further assisted the local investigative team in profiling the suspect Anthony Quinn Warner of Antioch, Tennessee.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 7 business days, as the statute requires.

Please note that I am a citizen of Tennessee, and am using MuckRock's services to help manage and track my request.

The request has been rejected by the agency.

Thank you for your response.

I find it incredibly unlikely that there were no records related to my original request. To reiterate, I have requested "All files including the final investigative report of the explosion that occurred on December 25, 2020, at approximately 6:30 a.m. Central Time, in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. This includes the work of the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit, based in Quantico, Virginia, known to have further assisted the local investigative team in profiling the suspect Anthony Quinn Warner of Antioch, Tennessee." This records request was made based on the FBI's own press release on the issue (attached). Am I to believe the office of the attorney general has absolutely no records related to the bombing that occurred on Christmas Day of last year? How is that possible? Does this mean that the state AG also has no records related to the allocation of the $1.3 Million dollars in emergency funding from the Department of Justice to aid in the investigation of the bombing?

From: Office of the Attorney General - Tennessee

Mr. Hoover,

This office received your 3/6/23 fax in which you requested an update on your initial 3/23/21 request for records related to the 2020 Christmas Bombing in Nashville.

As we previously indicated, we do not have any responsive records. This office was not involved in the investigation or in the allocation of the alleged emergency funding.

Best,
