Hello,
Please see attached. Thank you for your help with this request.
From: Department of Education
Mr. Hoover:
Your request has been received and we will begin processing it. It will take some time as we have quite a few in process right now. I am estimating 30 days, though that could change depending on the number of documents and the time required.
Thanks!

Mr. Hoover:
In consultation with our team, we have determined we do not have responsive records for this request. On background, TDOE has participated in the YRBS since 1993. Every five years, we re-apply as part of our regular routine. The current grant expires in 2023 when we anticipate we will re-apply (in fact, we will unless someone tells us not to, as we have done for years). You ask for “correspondence… determining whether or not it will move forward with administering the Tennessee Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System” and no such communications exist as applying every five years is an automatic process. Additionally, with the next application being a year out, there is no communication yet about the next round at all.
I hope this helps answer the question. Feel free to reach out.
Thanks,
Brian
