Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
All communications (email, text, memos, or otherwise) either originating in or received by the Office of the Governor which contain the word "confederate." Please limit the search to the dates 1/1/2016 - 8/16/2017.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

The OOG believes this information is confidential under section 552.101 of the Government Code and the doctrine of common-law privacy. This email is in response to your public information request to the Office of the Governor ("OOG"), received by the OOG on August 16, 2017. A copy of your request follows this email.
The OOG has reviewed its files and located the attached information responsive to your request. The OOG has redacted private email addresses from the attached document pursuant to section 552.137 of the Government Code and the previous determination issued by the Office of the Attorney General in Open Records Decision No. 684 (2009).
The OOG asserts the remaining responsive information is excepted from required disclosure under the Public Information Act. The OOG has requested a ruling from the Open Records Division of the Office of the Attorney General pursuant to Government Code § 552.301. The Attorney General rendered a ruling in this matter on November 1, 2017 (OR2017-24965). You should have received a copy of the ruling from the Attorney General’s office. The ruling indicated that the OOG may withhold the submitted information and therefore no further production is pending in this matter. I’ve attached a copy of the ruling for your reference.
