From: John Ricker
To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
From 12/1/17 to the date this request is considered fulfilled by both requester and the agency,
1. all documents that would be sent to the Attorney General due to the following:
STATE GOVERNMENTAL BODIES: FISCAL AND OTHER INFORMATION RELATING TO MAKING INFORMATION ACCESSIBLE. (a) Each state governmental body shall report to the attorney general the information the attorney general requires regarding:
(1) the number and nature of requests for information the state governmental body processes under this chapter in the period covered by the report; and
(2) the cost to the state governmental body in that period in terms of capital expenditures and personnel time of:
(A) responding to requests for information under this chapter; and
(B) making information available to the public by means of the Internet or another electronic format.\
2. Any documents which have summaries of the above state governmental body reports for the above timeline
I have the ability to host the responsive documents online. I believe that these documents will help inform the general public about the Texas Public Information Act, the cost that governmental bodies put toward disclosure of information, and common nature of requests for information. As such I believe this request to be in the public interest and would like to request a fee waiver should one be required.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
John Ricker

Hi Lauren
Thanks so much for your help with this request! I really appreciate it. That link has a great deal of information! I had a quick question about the information available. The statute dictates that "each state governmental body" will send a report into the Attorney General. According to the Statute,
"(1) "Governmental body":
(A) means:
(xii) the part, section, or portion of an organization, corporation, commission, committee, institution, or agency that spends or that is supported in whole or in part by public funds;"
As such shouldn't there be reports from every agency eligible to receive Texas Public Information Act requests? For instance, the Dallas Police Department?
The information I was hoping to obtain was a complete list of every governmental body subject to Texas Public Information Act Requests
Sincerely,
John Ricker
