Ms. Cadostin,
On March 4, 2025, we received your check in response to our Office’s cost estimate for processing your request.
Pursuant to Texas law, because we did not receive your payment within the statutory timeframe, your request was considered withdrawn by law. Specifically, as we informed you in our December 20, 2024 cost estimate, Section 552.263(f) of the Texas Government Code provides that a requestor “who fails to make a deposit or post a bond required . . . before the 10th business day after the date the deposit or bond is required, is considered to have withdrawn the request for the copy of the public information that precipitated the requirement of the deposit or bond.”
Would you like for us to return your check to you or to destroy it?
Kind regards,
Jennifer Williams
