Good afternoon,

Please see the response below from the Titusville Police Department Records Section regarding your request.

The Titusville Police Department does not fall under the FOIA. That pertains to Federal Agency's under Title 5 of the United States Code, Section 552. It was enacted in 1966 , however it does not provide a right to access records held by state or local government agencies or private businesses or individuals.

If you require any further assistance, please let us know.

Regards,

Under Florida law, e-mail addresses are public records. If you do not want your e-mail address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. Instead, contact this office by phone or in writing.

From: Good Citizen

Allow me to clarify, this is the first time I've encountered an agency somehow interpret a local request as Federal FOIA.

This is a records request under Florida Sunshine Law requesting a list of all prior records requests received and fulfilled by your office. I look forward to your response.

Hi Lavada,

Thanks for that information. Per my initial communication, I'd also like the list of the requests with relevant details included. Preferably in the original form of record keeping such as an excel spreadsheet.

From: Titusville Police Department

Mr. Adams,

The Public Records Requests are not kept on any type of Record Keeping form as they are received in many forms, IE: Via in-person, phone, e-mail, fax and mail and by multiple persons in the Records Section.

Respectfully,

Lavada
