Pursuant to the Kansas Open Records Act (K.S.A. 45-215), I hereby request the following records:
Copies of any report made to police since August 2016 regarding clown sightings or attacks.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

Thank you for contacting the Topeka Police Department.
I would be happy to help you with your request as indicated. Two case files were located based upon the search parameters you prvoided below with each file carrying a $2.00 flat fee. Topeka Municipal Code, section 10.10.050, specifies an advance payment of $2.00 as standard fee for the production of printed documents housed within the Topeka Police Department. If you would kindly provide this payment in the form of a personal check or money order made payable to the order of the City of Topeka, along with a self-addressed stamped envelope, I would be happy to return the case file documents to you just as soon as I can.
