Pursuant to the Kansas Open Records Act (K.S.A. 45-215), I hereby request the following records:
During a recent neighborhood meeting the homeland security guy from the city said that they were traveling out of state to either wyoming or montana to pickup a new communications and commander vehicle for the police department. This request is for all bids, pricing sheets, grant information, specifications, and policies related to that vehicle that the police announced that they would be traveling to drive back as well as any/all expenses associated with the travel.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.

I have located 62 pages of documents responsive to your request. Pursuant to City Ordinance, the fees involved in filling your request are as follows:
62 pages x $0.25 per copy = $15.50
1.5 hours research and document review x $13 per hour = $19.5
Total charge = $35.00
Please submit payment in the above amount to the City of Topeka Police Department, Records Unit, c/o Jaime Dennis, 320 S. Kansas Ave. Suite 100, Topeka, Kansas 66603. Once your payment is received, the documents will be mailed to you at the address you provided in your original request.
