This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

Copies of inspection reports generated by the FDA or under the supervision of the FDA regarding the safety and hygiene of airline caterers.

Please include all airline caterers that the FDA has reported on, including but not limited to:

LSG Sky Chefs
Gate Gourmet
Flying Food Group

A similar request was filed and fulfilled for USA Today in 2010, and was reported on here:

Please include any reports created between 2009 and the present.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

The information you requested was not readily available. Therefore, a computer query program had to be written to search the inspection database resulting in the attached result(s) in MS Excel format to produce the information requested.
