Bertram Fields FBI File

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

I request access to all records, documents, reports, and correspondence in the possession of the Federal Bureau of Investigation regarding Bertram “Bert” Fields (born March 31, 1929 – died August 7, 2022), particularly in relation to:
1. Any FBI investigations, inquiries, or reports related to Fields’ professional activities as an attorney.
2. Any records concerning his interactions, employment of, or connection to Anthony Pellicano, including any references to Fields in FBI investigations of Pellicano.
3. Any interviews, subpoenas, or questioning of Fields by the FBI in relation to Pellicano or any other criminal inquiries.
4. Any surveillance, electronic monitoring, or investigatory materials in which Fields is referenced.

If any of these records are exempt from disclosure, I request that all reasonably segregable portions be released and that any redactions be clearly justified. If this request is too broad, I am willing to discuss potential modifications to facilitate processing.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
