This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
Any and all contracts with the Department of Defense and/or any of its subsidiary agencies allowing non-military companies and/or personnel to manage burn pit operations on any or all American military bases in Iraq or Afghanistan.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

This e-mail acknowledges receipt of your FOIA status request, attached, related to Any and all contracts with the Department of Defense and/or any of its subsidiary agencies allowing non-military companies and/or personnel to manage burn pit operations on any or all American military bases in Iraq or Afghanistan.
We apologize that this action was apparently not being properly tracked. Our command's longtime FOIA Officer retired in December 2019, and we were unaware that this request was outstanding until we received your recent email.
We have logged your request and have assigned the following FOIA Case Numbers FP-21-014481/FA-21-0066.
We are unable to locate the information you requested, as written, and require additional information.
The Headquarters, Army Contracting Command is not the records custodian for contract records. We are unable to process your request without contract numbers. We use contract numbers to search our contract database. Once we have contract numbers, your request can be searched and re-directed to the subordinate contracting center that maintains the identified contracts.
We recommend the following site to those that are searching for contracts: "Federal Procurement Data System" - www.fpds.gov<http://www.fpds.gov>. On this site, you can conduct a Google-style search to find contract numbers using key words.
Please respond to this e-mail by 20 April 2021, at 5:00 p.m., or this request will be administratively closed. However, you may submit a new request at any time, when you have more information.
