To Whom It May Concern:
This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
A catalog of all video taped recordings made by White House Television Office camera crews during either closed door meetings, or after the closing of meetings to the press. According to an article I just read, nearly 800 hours of video tapes were captured during closed door meetings in small 5 to 10 minute snippets during the course of the Reagan presidency. Here is an article that references the 800 hour total:
This request is for any documents or memorandum that detail the amount of closed door video footage that the Reagan library currently possesses, and/or a list of all closed door meetings where White House Television Office camera crews were present. Please include any lists or descriptions of White House Television Office camera footage currently deemed as "classified" and exempted from release under FOIA.
Please include any videos produced from 1/20/81 to 1/20/89.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Robert Delaware
