To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

All complaints filed from February 2015 to February 2017 filed in relation to departures or arrival from the United States. For reference, responsive records would likely include complaints filed through the "Submit a Complaint/Concern" on the US CBP website in the category of "My complaint is related to my experience with CBP arriving in or departing from the U.S." or "My complaint is related to my experience with CBP at a checkpoint or other location patrolled by the Border Patrol."

CBP spokesman David Long acknowledged this complaint process in an email to CBC quoted in the February 8, 2017 article "Canadian woman denied entry to U.S. after Muslim prayers found on her phone."

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Parker Higgins
