Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Copies of all the evidence, validating documents, white papers, analysis, lab tests, and related proof underlying the five COVID-19 Pandemic Planning Scenarios as posted on the CDC's website. Attached please find the relevant PDF document, or follow the following link: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/planning-scenarios.html#
This request should include the “computational model,” i.e. the code, script, software, or algorithms used to determine these planning scenarios --- as of the posting of this document on the CDC website, whose parameter values are based on data received by CDC prior to 4/29/2020. Without unduly violating the privacy of U.S. citizens, I also am requesting the raw data input into this model and the any existent CDC documentation produced about the methodology used to interpret it.
PLEASE NOTE: I am a freelance reporter and would request that the relevant fees be waived. My past work has appeared at Slate.com, the New Republic, the New York Review of Books, Inverse.com, Scienceline.org, Gawker, Earther, Chemical Engineering magazine, and elsewhere.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
