This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

All documents, including memorandum, correspondence, and final policy documents and implementing instructions, related to changes to Peace Corps antimalarial prescribing policy, made in anticipation of or in accordance with the Sam Farr and Nick Castle Peace Corps Reform Act of 2018 (Public Law No: 115-256), which requires that per section 101(a)(1)(C) of the Act, that the Peace Corps "follow guidance by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regarding the prescription of medications to a volunteer".

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Dear Dr. Nevin: This is regarding your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request of August 8, 2019, for Original Peace Corps Request Referred to CDC:Item #1:All documents, including memorandum, correspondence, and final policy documents and implementing instructions, related to changes to Peace Corps antimalarial prescribing policy, made in anticipation of or in accordance with the Sam Farr and Nick Castle Peace Corps Reform Act of 2018 (Public Law No: 115-256), which requires that per section 101(a)(1)(C) of the Act, that the Peace Corps "follow guidance by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regarding the prescription of medications to a volunteer".Item #2:All documents, including emails, written correspondence, memorandum, meeting agenda, and any other records of consultation between the Peace Corps and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, from January 1, 2018 to the present, related to the Peace Corps' anticipated or completed implementation of section 101(a)(2) of the Sam Farr and Nick Castle Peace Corps Reform Act of 2018 (Public Law No: 115-256), which requires that "The Director of the Peace Corps shall consult with experts at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regarding recommendations for prescribing malaria prophylaxis, in order to provide the best standard of care within the context of the Peace Corps environment"..
