Note: There are three categories of requesters: 1) Commercial; 2) educational institutions, noncommercial scientific institutions, and representatives of the news media; and 3) all other requesters, including members of the general public.

Definitions of each requester category, and information on what fees (i.e., for search, review, and duplication) would be charged depending on the requester category can be found in our revised fee regulations found here: https://www.ecfr.gov/cgi-bin/text-idx?SID=f97c375521e692fad78c1a5f62893518&mc=true&node=se16.2.1015_19&rgn=div8

Dear Mr. Osei Bonsu,

I apologize for not responding sooner. This is my first time using the Muckrock platform so I need to make sure it notifies my main email account. If this request is still open, can we set the date range as 1/1/2010 to present, or the date the request was submitted.

I would categorize myself as a commercial requester.

As to the request about composition - this refers to what is in briquettes, generally.

Communication with third-parties - this refers to correspondence between the agency and others, like trade groups, consumers, or other non-govt groups or persons who have questions about charcoal briquettes.

If my request has been administratively closed due to my failure to respond I understand. If not, hopefully this info is useful to aid in processing my request further. Thank you.

Spencer

From: Consumer Products Safety Commission

Mr. Sheehan,

Good morning, and thank you for your clarifying information. We now have enough clarifying information to process 21-F-00432. Accordingly, since the request that you filed yesterday via the CPSC’s Public Access Link (PAL) – 21-F-00488 – is a duplicate of 21-F-00432, we will be administratively closing 21-F-00488 and will process the clarified version of 21-F-00432.

However, we could use some clarification on one final issue regarding your request. In your clarification of 21-F-00432, you state that you are a commercial requester; however, in you PAL request (21-F-00488) you state that you are representing a consumer. Can you please clarify whether you are indeed representing a consumer?

Hi Ms. Cole,

At Pay.gov, there isn't a simple option to pay the Treasury. There are a
variety of treasury sub departments and clicking on each brings up other
information not related to FOIL requests.

If I make a payment to any of those agencies should that be sufficient as
long as I put tracking number for FOIL request in subject line? ty
