From: Transportation Security Administration

Good day Ms. Taylor, This letter is in response to your letter to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), dated March 13, 2019, in which you requested “all emails sent to, from, or copied to Charles “Chas” Cook, containing any of the non-case-sensitive key-strings "big data", "surveillance", "machine learning", "CCTV", or "automated intelligence" (Date Range for Record Search: From 1/1/2019 To 9/12/2019) ."
Your request was assigned FOIA case number 2019-TSFO-00668. In order to best utilize our limited resources, TSA has started to reach out to requesters whose requests have been in the backlog over 18 months to determine if they are still interested in pursuing their request prior to initiating a line by line review of responsive documents. Please advise as soon as possible but no later than thirty business (30) days, to ensure that you are still interested in continuing the processing of your FOIA request. If we do not receive a response by April we will assume that you are no longer interested, and your request will be administratively closed. Please be advised that this action is not a denial of your request and will not preclude you from filing other requests in the future. 21, 2022 In the event you are still interested in receiving the requested information, we estimate it will take an additional three months to undergo processing and review for release. It is TSA’s practice to assign requests into one of two tracks based on the complexity of the request, and to process requests within the two tracks on a first-in, first-out basis. Sincerely, TSA FOIA Branch
